1997 Subaru Outback 192,000.

Had a diagnostic run for check engine light warning. Was told O2 sensor bad. How many sensors are there and where are they located? Thanks.

A 97 probably only has one and it is in the exhaust manifold near the engine. If it has two the second one is behind the catalytic converter. Go to a parts house and see how many they list. It is different with Cal. specs or normal specs.
