I went to get gas and now my SUV will not start?

I went to get gas and now my SUV won't start. It won't even crank over. My friend said he could feel a click when he touched the starter relay and I tried to start it. One time today it acted like it didn't want to start but only for a few seconds. I don't know what to do. I'm stranded at the gas station. Please help. Thanks

It sounds like the battery is bad, to confirm, let's do a test. Turn the headlights on and try to crank it over. If the lights go out the battery is bad, or you have a bad connection at the battery. These guides can help you fix it:
