Good thing about this part is that its made by GM and from what I have read they are on some cavaliers. Just have to make sure the part numbers match!

HAY Jacobandnickolas!

So I have an ICM on the way and once installed I will post a reply.

I also found a website that explained the ICM and what happens when they start to go bad. AND WOW! I had all those symptoms one thing that I remember it stateing is that if you keep it cold and dont allow it to get warm like with ice water it should run fine. So thats like one way to do a self test. However mine ws so far gone that I could not do that at all. This can only be done in the beginging stages.

Well I wish that luck was on my side. BUT NO!

Got the new/used ICM in and the battery charged and it stalled again. I am a little more pissed today because this damn vehicle is just a Monster. So I told the shop to put a few more hours into it and let me know.

SHOP Repair #1. The shop told me that the ICM had power going into the ICM but was not coming out.
Fix #1. Replaced ICM with new/used one from FL.
Conclusion #1. Repair was a Fail still starts and stalls.

2-25-14.

Final fix!
So after everything is said and done it was the main computer and some burnt wires up by the fire wall.

The shop fixed the wires and tested the old computer before putting in a new one. So if any one else has this problem this is what it could be!

HAVE FUN TRYING TO DO IT YOURSELF AS THERE ARE SO MANY DIFFERENT THINGS THAT IT COULD BE!

OK. I LIED!
The FINAL FIX was the crank or cam position sensor (cant remember what they said after I heard the bill!). After they got the new computer in and reprogramed they took it for a short ride and it stalled again. However this time the computer was working right and gave them a code to follow so after the got the code they replaced the sensor and now she runs like a champ again.

What this means is that for all you people out there that think they can fix something on your own you might be wasting your time because sensors go bad without sending codes or the codes get lost in a bad computer. My over all time spent was about 50+ hours of internet searches and attempted repairs I also dropped about $150ish into sensors that were not the problem and after all that I decided to take it to a shop and cost an additional $600. The shop I take it too is one I trust that has never done me wrong and everytime I go to this shop with a question they stop and listen and try to help. They have also done repairs for me that may have taken an hour or so and there was no charge.

So the moral of the story is YOU MAY TRY AND YOU MAY FAIL but after 50 hours and a $150 bucks take it to a shop! I am fortunate that I had another vechicle as my main vehicle because the was a year long process and a pain in the A$$.
