When I drive my Honda, it is fine as long as I am in motion, but as soon as I stop at a light it stalls. The oil was very low so I added 3 quarts of oil yesterday, but it is still not registering any oil. When I first start it It seems to be idle high, but then does slow to a normal level. Any suggestions

Hi troyw,

You should check and ensure the oil is at the correct level, failing which if the engine seizes due to insufficient lubrication, it is going to be costly.

The cold start and warming idling speed are normal as per your description. However what is the idling speed after it is fully warmed up? If the idling speed is too low, it would tend to stall.

Low idling speed are usually due to partial clogging of air intake ports or vacumn leaks if equipped with Mass Air Flow meter. Adjusting the idling speed might help.
