2.8liter or 1.8 liter? Our reference shows only a 1.8 liter engine. Manual or automatic?

Is there any thing with the coil circuits that would keep the injectors from firing.

Trying to get the injectors firing again.

Injector fire for the first 2-3 seconds then shut off.

That sounds like an ASD, automatic shutdown relay.

I will check on ASD, but that would cut spark too wouldn't it.
I have good spark.

Code #P1315 comes back right after it is erased. Not shure if thats injector related or not.(Imputs affecting computer possibly?).

Here is another note: when I turn the ignition on and start it will run for two seconds.
After it stalls and I attempt to restart it, it wont start up unless I turn ignition off and turn it on again, then that achieves another two seconds of running before injectors cut out again.

Because it's transistorized. It has constant power and ground and 2 wires to the ignition module. I gave you the wiring diagram so you could see that.

I think the fuel shut off problem is occurring because of a bad IGF signal coming from the coil going to the computer.

Spark Confimation IGF
Once a spark event takes place, an ignition confirmation signal called IGF is generated by the igniter and sent to the ECU. The IGF signal tells the ECU that a spark event has actually occured. In the event of an ignition falt, after approximately eight to eleven IGT signals are sent to the igniter without receiving an IGF confirmation, the ECU will enter a fail safe mode, shutting down the injectors to prevent potential catalyst overheating.

So I guess I need to test the IGF circuit.

Can you get me pin numbering on the ECU connector. Thanks

Ok here is where I'm at, I go to the circuit I suspect which is the "IGF circuit" and do a continuity check.

Here is what I find: checking at the ECU E4 pin #3 l/y. TO. Ltblue/yel at any given coil, and there is no continuity at all, Good news I think, well we will see.

There is good continuity from coil to coil.
I suspect open between IGF junction and ECM.
I wonder why its throwing code for coil #4 and not all.
Going to open up the harness a little more and do some more testing tomorrow, Keep your fingers crossed.

Good news the problem Is solved. I was wrong about that one IGF circuit between the ECU and coil, it had good continuity.

The problem was I one of the coils.
I kept changing the coils around and codes followed the coil.
I bought a used coil for $35 and car runs, and stays running.

Just wanted to say thank you for this. I had this EXACT same problem, with the same car, and this was the fix for me. This was the only thing I could find with countless hours of diagnosing and googling.
