I am having trouble getting my car to start. It sounds like it wants to, but it does not start, and smoke comes out of my oil dip stick tube. What is the black box that sits on top of the throttle body that has air flow fittings 4 connections total no electrical plugs into it?

It might be the air filter box. We do not have a picture of that and my memory is not that good. If you have smoke coming out of your dipstick tube then check to make sure your pcv valve is working and check compression all cylinders should be with in 20% of each other.
