My vehicle listed above is a Diesel. When i start in the morning it starts instantly as normal. but after 30 to 40 minutes of running when i want to start again it is taking a long self to start. if i stop the engine for 30 to 40 minutes then again, it is taking a short self to start as like normal. Changed the battery and the alternator also as per mechanic recommended but problem is still there. Please suggest what to check or what to do.

Hi,

Do you mean it will crank but has a delayed start? Has the fuel pressure been checked?

Do me a favor and try this.

1) Turn the key from off to the run position (engine off) and count to 5. Then turn the key to the off position.

2) Repeat step 1 a total of four times and on the fifth time, see if it starts normally.

Let me know what you find.
