Welcome to 2CarPros.

If the starter hasn't been replaced and you have a new battery, most likely the starter has failed. What I suggest is to remove the starter and have it bench tested. Most parts stores will do it for free.

Or you can test the starter itself on the vehicle. Here is a link that explains how to test the battery. If you find that power it going where it needs to be and the starter still doesn't engage, replace it. However, make sure battery terminals are clean and tight as well as the bolts on the starter and grounds.

Here is the link:

If you determine the starter is bad, here is a link that explains in general how one is replaced:

Let me know what you find or if you have other questions.

Take care,
Joe

If you are only getting a click, then one of two things are happening. Either one of the new parts is bad or there is a power or ground connection issue. The starter engages, there is a large voltage draw. If any of the connections are loose or corroded, you can lose connection causing nothing more than a click.

Have you checked the ground to the engine block?

I had a after thought. Are you sure the engine isn't locked up? If you remove the starter does it work?
