My van will not start. Trying to start will not crank, all lights work okay but when I remove the key front right hand parking light and rear left side lights remain on until I disconnect the battery. Also, the doors will not operate with the remote.

Hello,

It sounds like you have one of three things happening; either you have a fuse that is out which there are a few that run the system or you have a bad ground to the BCM or the BCM is going out. Let's start with the easy stuff first checking the fuses numbers 8, 32, 3, 19, 21 and 7.

Here is a guide and the fuse and wiring diagrams diagrams to get us started:

Here is guide to help you check the BCM ground:

Here is how to check the PGM-FI relays:

If the BCM is bad you will need to have a garage program it for you.

Check out the diagrams (below).

Let us know what happens and please upload pictures or videos of the problem.

Cheers, Ken

Thanks Ken, I have already taken out the starter and found the wire to the brushes completely corroded.I replaced it and now everything is working except the remote start, and I believe I forgot some connector or something like that. See images

Yep that will do it. Rusted clean through I have seen that from time to time didn't think of it though.

Use 2CarPros anytime, we are here to help. Please tell a friend.
