Mt truck will start and run with no issues but at random times after driving the truck and shutting it off it will not start. The engine turns over and the engine acts like it wants to hit, but will not start. No diagnostic codes are present. Wait about an hour and the truck fires up and runs fine. I have bypassed the emergency fuel shut off switch in the passenger side kick panel and I have swapped the fuel pump relay in the power distribution box under the hood, but no joy.

Check to see if there is spark and fuel to the engine when it wont start. If both are missing, check the EEC relay under the hood in the relay box. Switch it with one that has the same part number and see if it starts. This sounds like a fuel pump or the crankshaft angle sensor has gone out. When you turn the key to the on position without cranking the engine over can you hear the fuel pump run in the tank for 5 seconds?
