Hi,

When you try starting it, does anything happen? For example, do you hear a click from the starter or anything?

Take a look through this link and let me know if it helps:

If it doesn't, let me know exactly what happens. For example, you hear a click or clicking.

Take care,

Joe

It just clicks and the dash lights come on. Also, there is a little humming sound kind of like the powers being turned on I'm sure.

Hi,

If you hear the starter, click, either we have a faulty battery, a weak battery connection, or the engine is locked.

Do me a favor. Try this very simple load test on the battery. You don't need any tools. Additionally, make sure the battery terminals are both clean and tight.

Also, let me know approximately where you hear the humming sound coming from and if there were any issues with the engine prior to this issue. For example, were there any knocking/ticking sounds from the engine or was there a noticeable power loss?

One last thing. See if it makes a difference if you try starting it in neutral.

Let me know what you find.

Hi,

If the starter is good, something is preventing the engine from turning. If you place a socket and breaker bar on the crankshaft pulley, can you turn the engine by hand?

I'm starting to question if the engine is locked.

Let me know.

Hi,

That's good news. Okay, if the starter is good, the engine isn't locked, and it only clicks, then we need to recheck connectors at the starter and battery. Additionally, the ground between the battery and engine needs to be checked.

I suspect when you place the load on the circuit, we are losing contact. Also, if you haven't already, remove the battery and have it load tested at a parts store. In most cases, they will do it free of charge.

Let me know.
