Check the CV axle boots for rips/tears.

If OK, then check motor mounts/brakes and look for any loose shields under car.

Bought car at auction had to get code key made do the thirty minute program. Car started but wanted to die. I left jump pack on it to drive home it ran fine. Now first start of day it starts fine put in gear it moves, but after sixty seconds I hear it is drain/drop in power and idle and dies. Go to restart it and wont unless I work pedal after a few it will at times idle on own, but surges or dies. Using two feet wont even help when it is put into gear dies no matter what. What the issue the coded key and anti theft?

The key has to be coded to the car the only way to code a new key is if you have an original one.

I recently purchased my GTP and fell in love with it, however the car got to a point where it would hardly drag itself into the drive (no exaggertain) I took it to a local shop and they did a complete tune up of the car. The thing ran great after that. Recently I noticed that the car with cut out when going up a hill but then be just fine when either A.) I gave it more gas or B.) It was done going up the hill.

Well the other day I go into that gas station and left the car running, when I came back out the car was barely running and it was spitting and sputtering then it died. It would start back up then die again, it took 20min to home when I live just 3 blocks away. I have gone back out to start it and it fires right up but when I go to give it gas it cuts out again, doesnt die just cuts out. What could be wrong with this thing?

Is the check engine light on?

Have the fuel pressure checked while the situation happens.

Check for spark

What would cause my 99 Grand Prix GT to completly die while I'm driving? It does not matter if I'm driving 30 mph or 80 mph. I have to pull off the road and turn car off and wait a few minuets. It will then start back up and either stay running or it will start and then as soon as I put it into drive it dies again. Please HELP!

Have ignition module tested, if PCM does not get an ignition reference, it will shut off fuel.

My car stalls out at stop and starts right back up and is fine. And has all its power. Replace IAC and cam postion sensor and does it more when it is hot. And after getting gas and it sometimes idles up and down and than dies.

Clean throttle plate on both sides with choke cleaner and iac hole. Also check for a vacuum leak, like holses in hoses/lines off etc.

Usually a bad alternator. However, if you can, take the car to a parts store and have them load test the battery as well as check the alt for output. Most will do it for free and then you will know where the problem is.
