When shifting the transmission from drive to reverse the vehicle stalls and shuts off?

When I switch from D gear to R gear and if I don’t hit the gas right away the car stalls and shuts down and I have to take out the key and restart it and it turns on. It only stalls when I switch gears from D gear to R gear.

This sounds like you have a torque converter that has come apart internally, but to be sure can you please shoot a quick video with your phone so we can see what's going on? That would be great.
