Hi,
What you described could be several different things. For, it could be a plugged catalytic converter. Also, fuel pressure, intake leaks, and other things can all cause this.
Here is what I need you to do: I want you to pull diagnostic trouble codes. This vehicle has an OBD1 system. It doesn't require a scan tool to retrieve codes. All you will need is a short jumper wire or even a paper clip.
Here is a link that explains how to do it. Once you get the codes, let me know what they are.
