I am asking because the horn began to honk and lights flashed when no one was near car. I found by not locking the doors the honking does't happen. Was told maybe the door switch was the problem. Could this be true? This is the reason for asking how to replace the switch. Thanks for answering.

no, door switch has nothing to do with that. seems like there is an issue with the vehicles anti-theft system. did you have an aftermarket system installed or is it just the factory system?

This has the factory installed thief system.
