Engine Mechanical problem
2001 Rover 25 Manual

i dont know much about cars at all. I bought a rover mg a few weeks ago, it was working fine and going all okay. It was left for 6 weeks due to the snow and bad weather. It would not start at al and everything was dead. I bought a new battery as I did not know how long the previous one was in for so I got my boyfriend to replace it for me, he knows how to do it. Now the battery is in it is still not starting. When I turn the key to 2nd position all lights etc come on, but when I go to start it up its making a loud noise like it is trying to start. There is something under the car bonnet which says "INJECTION" and even when I take the key out a loud tapping noise or dripping noise is coming from it and it can be felt vibrating when I touch it along with the noise. The noise goes away after 10-15mins. Im sorry if this does not make any sense

You need to have the car plugged into a diagnostic computer to retrieve any fault codes stored on cars computer. Repost with full codes for more assistance

Hiya thanks for your reply, I had to get it towed away as I tryed starting it again and something blew up in the engine, it turns out it was the head gasket and the mechanic found lots of other problems and dodgy wires, turns out the person I bought it from tampered with things and knew it would only run for a few months, so its now gona cost me at least  500 to get it fixed. So im just sending it to scrap and getting a new one as I only paid  1000 for the car and dont fancy paying half of what I paid for it to get it fixed cheers
