Took the clutch off and it was shredded. Just replaced the clutch with Exedy Stage 1/lightweight flywheel and car is still not moving. It will go into gear, but will not move. What would be the next piece to look at? Leaning towards something inside the transmission, but not sure what we are looking for. Not the hydraulics system (cmc/sc). Car doesn’t grind when going into gear, no noises. Starts up fine.

Welcome to 2CarPros.

If it is going into gear, I doubt there is anything internal wrong with the transmission unless there was an issue before. Are you sure the release bearing was properly installed? If the release bearing isn't properly seated, it can cause issues.

Let me know.

It was the drive axle not being in all the way. Thanks for the input. :)

Welcome back:

Glad you got it fixed. Interestingly, I was called to work today for the exact same issue on a Jetta. Both axles were replaced but it wouldn't move or find park. Ugh! After checking and telling the new tech (who is young and a really hard worker) to take his time and stay focused, I had to totally remove and replace both sides again. It was a simple mistake that anyone could have done.

Thanks God for weekends. Lol The darn shop is going to kill me.

Take care and feel free to come back anytime. Hope you enjoy what's left of the weekend.
