The temperature gauge reads cold

The temperature indicator on my car reads low. As I go by road (90 or 100 km/hour) it goes down even more. Just less than a quarter of its indicator travel. When I leave it by heating the engine to idle, it stops halfway.

You first need to confirm the actual engine temperature with a laser thermometer to make sure the dash gauge is correct. If you confirm that, then you would likely have a bad or missing thermostat.

What other means I can use to read the engine temperature, I do not have a laser. The thermostat has an inscription (82 ° C). The temperature has to be this.

If you have a scan tool you can look at sensor data in the computer. Other than that, there is no other way to read the engine temperature from the outside.
