I got my car serviced last week and asked for the mechanic to check out my rear passenger door lock. The mechanic said the actuator was bad and needed replacing or I could just go without the rear door lock. I asked for a price and ultimately decided to wait on the repair. He said that if he unplugged the actuator it would only affect the rear passenger door lock and all my other doors should operate fine (as they all were prior to the visit). Once I got home I wanted to get a few things out my truck and wasn’t able to open my trunk. My trunk was unlocking/locking and opening fine prior to service. Could this be related to the mechanic unplugging my rear passenger door actuator even though he said it would only affect that door? He also replaced some brake lights during my service so he had to have been able to open my trunk that day to get to the panels to replace the brake light bulbs. Could something have been put back on incorrectly that affected my truck not opening or is it due to the actuator? If I wanted to plug my actuator back in to see if that resolved the issue, how challenging would that be for someone not familiar with cars?

Thanks in advance.
