When driving car starts to surge and thud

When oil gauge starts to show hot, and when travelling through traffic, car starts to surge, thuds etc. when car starts in the morning and the oil is cold the car goes beautifully. Took car for two diagnostics test each one says electronic fault in transmission.

Can you please send me the codes? Is the engine overheating? If not I would think the oil temperature sender is going bad and shutting the engine down. Can you confirm the oil level is full?
