Every time I turn the key on the on position or fire up the car there is a rattling noise by the rear passenger tire. Wheel air compressor? It turns on and rattles when the car turns on and like 20 minutes later it stops. What could be causing the rattling noise?

I think you are correct that this is the air compressor for the air suspension. I attached the process on how to replace it but more then likely it is starting to fail. It is typical that they get noisy and then take a while to fill the system. Next it will most likely not fill the air bags to the proper amount. Lastly it will just stop working at all as the pump burns up.

I would start making plans on changing it out. If you want me to confirm this noise, get a recording of it because they tend to make a distinct noise.

Let me know and we can go from there. Thanks

Take a look at the attachments I posted in the previous response. I attached all the steps. I don't see any special tools needed. Let me know if you can't see them and I will try to post them again. Thanks
