Rattle on front drivers side, possibly struts?

I just got this car and love it, but only have one problem. When I go over a bump, there's a rattling sound that comes from the drivers side front area, like where the struts are. I don't know a whole lot about cars so my first guess was that maybe that strut is bad or there's just something loose in that area? The car doesn't pull to one side or anything when I take my hands off the wheel and the ride doesn't feel rough or anything. What do you think this could be? Wanted to get an opinion before I take it to a shop.

Is it a rattle or more of a clunk? If a clunk, chances are the strut plates are bad or there is an issue with a bushing. Let me know.

I'd say it's more of a rattle.

Okay. That makes it a little more difficult to find. What I would suggest is to start by checking the control arm bushings and the stabilizer links to see if they are worn excessively. The links are know to break.
