My car loses power momentarily on accelerating. It shudders a bit?

Hi LOUISED85,

If the check engine light is not on then it could be the crankshaft angle sensor which has a history of failure on these cars. The tough part is when this sensor fails it may or may not set a code. Here is a guide on what to expect when changing the sensor

https://www.2carpros.com/articles/crankshaft-angle-sensor-replacement

The engine is different but the procedure is the same,

The location of your sensor is the right side of the engine block look for a three wire connector

Please let me know what you find.

Best, Ken
