2001 Pontiac Montana ran out of gas

Can you tell me why it will not start after putting in 10gal after it ran out of gas

If when it ran out of gas you kept trying to start vehicle then I would say you overheated the fuel pump and now its no good. A electric fuel pump requires fuel to keep the motor cool, when there is no fuel they burn up real quick.
