Engine Mechanical problem
2000 Pontiac Montana 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 173kms miles

Hi,
I just bought this usd 2000 montana 2 mnths ago. It started when I used the cruise control set to 100km then when it went on the uphill it change gear then the ses sign went off but it still runs perfectly. Yesterday, we travelled for 3 hrs then I noticed that it doesnt have acceleration on the uphill but on a straight plain road it runs perfectly. When we stop for a rest I shut off the engine. When I started it again there'e a low oil pressure sign that appears on the dash for just 3 sec then. I also notice that there's some clungging noise on the engine. Sometimes, when I stop and placed it on the park the engines keeps accelerate or the rpm keeps going up and down even if I did not step on the gas. Would be appreciated if you could help me with this. Cn I still used this for a long drive. Thanks in advance

Has the check engine light come on? Have you checked fuel pressure? Is the oil full and clean? When the light comes on, do you hear ticking or knocking from the engine? Finally, have you checked to make sure the catylatic converter isn't plugging?
