Cold Start Problem

I have a 1995 Grand Prix GTP, 3.4 DOHC motor, ~178000 miles. Recently, as it has gotten cold, I have had a problem starting the car. It starts right up every time, even when cold, but it will idle incredibly high, then die if I don't get on the throttle immediately. It idles high until it warms up, then it drives perfectly. I removed and cleaned the IAC, it was pretty dirty, but no help. Any ideas?

Try the ect electronic coolant temp sensor. And maybe the intake air temp sensor.
