My 2001 Grand Prix GTP engine shuts off while driving. Took to Auto Zone to run free check engine test. Revealed O2 sensor and Crank sensor. Replaced crank sensor, fuel filter and had tune up done a month ago. Car still stalls. Engine light came back on. Took back to Auto Zone to run test again. Test shows same sensor problems (O2 and crank sensor) Does crank sensor make car stalls? Did I recv a bad crank sensor at auto part store or could this be my fuel pump going out? Other than this issue, car runs perfect. Please help. Only transportation.

Yes, crank sensor will stop engine, since it gives PCM position of crankshaft and PCM, in turn, sets firing sequence. If bad, PCM would not know firing position of crank.

Replace sensor (defective unit).

O2 sensor will cause engine to run bad (rich) and should also be changed.
