Does any one know what the voltage should be for the crank sensor on a 93 grand prix 3.1?
runs for a bit then dies, after a while it starts again. If you let it run for about ten minutes and shut it off, it wont start unless you press the gas a little bit.
I changed the EGR, throttle positions censor, IAR valve, checked for vacume leeks?

Use a suitable probe, backprobe the light blue/black wire terminal of the crankshaft position sensor connector. Connect the pos lead of the voltmeter to the probe and the neg lead to a good engine ground point. Turn the ignition key on. The meter should read approximatley 10volts. Rotate the engine slowly with a breaker bar and socket attached to the crankshaft pully center bolt while watching the meter. The voltage should fluctuate between 10 and zero volts as the blades and widows in the interupter pass the sensor. Note: removing the spark plugs will allow the engine to turn over much easier.
