Hello,
It sounds like you might have a faulty crank sensor.
Usually when a crank sensor goes bad, the engine will stall and sometimes you can start it back up, other times it will not start up.
The crank position sensor is located on the lower front part of the engine, right next to the engine oil filter.
Overtime all the heat and vibration can fault out a crank sensor.
When a crank sensor goes bad it may or may not trigger the check engine light.
Is your check engine light illuminated?

Check to see if you are getting spark to the plugs. You can also check to see if the coils getting power to them.
