1999 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 13k miles

i have a grand am gt and the thing thats wrong is that it starts just fine then I can drive it anywhere and it wont stop intill I turn off my car. Then it will not start intill hours. We check the coil and the senser and still did the same thing. But ppl tell me it might be my Computer.(So what do u think it could be ) and we replaced the fuel pump ass well

When the problem occurs, have a helper crank it, while you visually check for spark at the plugs. You can use a known good spark plug or spark tester, that you carry in the glove box, shouldn't be hot. Pull spark plug boot, the autostore sells a puller for the boot, incase it might be hot? Stick tester in the boot, ground metal part of plug/tester to metal part of engine, watch for spark. If you have spark everywhere, use a gage and test fuel pressure. Some of the national brand autostores used to loan out a fuel pressure gage, if you don't have one. Don't let gas spray on a hot engine.

The only way I can help, is if you can do some testing.

Well we did check all the spark plugs and they were good. And it still keeps turning off.I have to wait intill the next day to turn it on. Then I turn it off and try to turn back on and I wont. Intill the next day or hours.
