1998 Pontiac Grand Am 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Manual

I was wondering how hard it is to fix a synchronizer. When I shift from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd, it feels like its hitting something but slipping past almost like a grinding but not the same kinda grinding as when you grind gears

Definitly a job for a tans shop. It takes a hydraulic press to get the gears off and on the shafts, and some prior experience will help alot. It is alot of work to pull that trans, so it would be best to know it is repaired correctly when putting it back in.
