Engine Cooling problem
1996 Pontiac Grand Am 6 cyl Automatic

Car getting hot want to check out themostat before looking at water pump. Just need to find out how to get to it. V6 2.4L engine.

The 2.4L is a 4 cylinder engine. On the 2.4L, the thermostat is located inside the radiator outlet pipe that hooks to the rear of the water pump, at the passenger side rear of the engine.
