what are all reasons why this car would be over heating?

Bad thermostat, plugged radiator or other part of cooling system, low fluid, too much antifreeze in mixture, bad radiator cap, bad water pump, and the cooling fans not turning on.

Also bad ignition timing or a rich fuel mixture can cause this.
