Hi I have a 97 bonneville se and I had dropped my son off at school and I return to start the car and it wouldn't start. I had the battery fully charged. I had someone jump start the starter and it turned over but did not start the car. I took the module to be tested and found out that it was no good so I bought a brand new one and the car still won't start. I had the key tested and found it wasn't the key and it still won't start. What do you think could be my problem?

First question. Is it turning over at all. If not. Does it make a small click? Like its trying to start. Or dos it make any sound at all? Should be the 3.8 motor, if its making a small click noise. But not turning over. Id first check that the battery is good, then pull the starter and have it tested, (its a pain), the worst case scenario, pull ath the plugs and try to turn it ovver if the starter showed good. If it blows a bunch of water/ antifreeze out of the cylinder, there is a small gasket around where the egr goes into the upper intake, should have been a recall but wasnt, you will have to replace the upper intake and at worst also the egr valve.
