I have a 1997 Pontiac Bonneville 6cyl SSE. A few weeks back my alternator went, so we replaced it. Yesterday I started the car up to leave work and all the dash lights came on all the gauges went crazy and the car stalled. When I tried to re-start it there was no power. Replaced the battery last night went to start it and hear this ticking sound. Figured it was the starter, took that out today took it the local parts store to be tested, they are saying its fine. I am completely lost now, please help!

If I was to take an educated guess right now, I would say the crank position sensor is your problem. But you really should check for spark and fuel, this will determine which direction to turn, cause at this point there are quite a few posibilities, but through my experience, I would suspect the crank position sensor.
