I have a code scanner, and my check engine light came on. I Scanned for codes and came up with Code P1655. The book that came with the scanner says that is a PCM Fault (Quad2). I dont know what that means. One repair guy I asked said that the PCM was going bad, so I bought a used PCM with matching serial numbers. I put the new(Used) one in and the car wont start. What does that code mean? Do I need to get the new(used) PCM reprogrammed or something?

A PCM will have to be programed to your car. With the code you retrived It could be a bad PCM, evaporator purge valve or a wiring issue going from the PCM to the purge valve. Also inspect the Ignition feed fuse and make sur it is ok.

O.K. So I will have to get the new(used) PCM flashed at the dealer. But when I loked up the troule codes online it came up as: EVAP Purge Solenoid Control Circuit. I assume that this is what the real problem is, and if so, where is the control circuit? I know where the Purge solenoid is, and the purge valve from my repair manuals, but there is no mention of a *Control Circuit* Am I just being retarded or something? One more thing, Would it be wise to even try to replace the PCM or should I try to do the EVAP Purge Solenoid Control Circuit thing first? Thank you so much BTW.

The control curcuit is that they are talking about is the wires from the PCM to the EVAP solenoid. The purge solenoid would be alot cheaper than the PCM if you wanted to give it a try.
