Power window not working properly

I replace the switch that operates my power windows twice believing this was defective as on rare occasions the front passenger window will not work. After leaving the car overnight it will suddenly work again. I have had the wires checked and this is not an issue. Now it has been suggested that I replace the motor in the front right passenger door.

My question is how can I be sure this is the cause and not be wasting more money?

Thank you.

Did you get your problem solved? I have the same vehicle doing the same thing. One day the passenger window will roll down the next day it wont. Have you tried changing relays under the hood? Please let me know if you found the cause of your problem.

There is no relay on this circuit. This uses a body control module that controls the power feed. I would suggest we check power coming out of the BCM on fuse 8 and 9 when this acting up. If you have power coming out then we need to follow that through the wiring to where we do not have power. These systems are pretty straight forward on these older vehicles. The BCM feeds the switch and the switch controls the power directly to the motor. So the issue can only be the BCM, switch, motor, or the wiring.

Let me know what you find and we can go from there. Thanks
