My car will not start the next day. 4 times I jump start the car it jumps fast even without the other car not on. I drive the car long ways and overnight when I get into my car it will not start. I took it to the shop and all the mechanic did was clean it but it still will not start. Where are the ignition cables located someone said to try put in a new ignition cables?

Hi haluska33 and welcome to 2carpros

Do you mean it cranks over and refuses to start or just plain no engine crank at all, please explain more about the situation

No cranking can involve the fuse no.8 20amp ignition switch, transaxle range sensor starter relay, and starter itself.

If the car starts right away while being jumped, the problem will lie either with the battery or the cable from the battery to the jump posts. If you remove the air cleaner box, you will see the battery cables run from the jumper posts to the battery.

Have your mechanic take out the battery from the fender well, and do a load test on it. I have a feeling that your battery does not hold charge.
