Hello,

One day last week, returning home from work, all was fine went outside around 9:00pm and saw only my passenger turn signal was on key was not in. Attempted pulling all corresponding fuses/relays. Flicked the right turn signal on and it flashed rapidly, and passenger side mirror arrow stayed solid on. It did nothing, the only thing that turned it off was unplugging the battery. Plugging in to start get where I'm going and unplug. Don't want to drain battery and get stuck. I've spent hours and hours in the cold troubleshooting and diagnosing the best I know how. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

PS:
Pulled out headlight assembly and inspected for corrosion and rubbed wired-all good.

Yep, this is a common problem when the BCM goes out. Here is the location of the BCM and how to replace it, if you search google or eBay you can get a preprogrammed unit. So, the repair will be easy. I have left the wiring diagrams for the running/blinker lights in as well so you can see how the system works. Check out the images (below). Please let us know if you need anything else to get the problem fixed.

Hi Ken,
Thanks for the prompt reply.
I was fearing the BCM could be the issue. I needed a professional opinion based on my specific problem.
I wanted to add more info about my vehicle. Wasn't able to modify my details.
2007 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT 4WD
5.3 L V8 (new body style, split year)
297,000 km not miles.
The diagrams you attached show information for 4.8L 2WD. Same BCM?
What would be the GM part number?
Do you need my: VIN for that?
Thanks,
Mike

It is the same BCM you will need the VIN when you get the rebuilt preprogrammed unit. They do not show the part number, but it will be on the unit itself. Please let me know how it goes.
