Well, I would like to say I will check into that and you have been more than helpful and super appreciate all the time you have spent helping me, but unfortunately I got frustrated and a long story short; Ford will never burn anybody ever again ever. Just for kicks are you still thinking it was switch?

Oh, by the way. The third brown wire is on the second smaller plug in the black plug. So, 2 brown wires in gray plug 1 in the black plus.

Hi,

I'm not sure if the switch is bad or someone has changed things. At least based on the schematics, the brown wires should only have power when the switch is on. I believe the one smaller plug is for the dimmer.

I'm a little concerned to know what you meant by it will never bother anyone again. LOL

If you still have it, were you able to test the pins I attached in the last post?

Let me know.

Take care, and you are very welcome, but I don't feel like I was very helpful.

So, as for the truck it will need some work to be drivable again but I did check the pins in plug for light and have constant power to pin # 2 pin # 8#10 and #12 when fuse 17 is plugged in and with fuse out pin # 8 still has power and I believe my truck did not have fog lamps but in the head light bucket itself along with light bulbs was these quirky que looking lights. What are they I'm bound and determined to fix this light issue even if the truck doesn't see they highway again.

Does pin 8 have power if you remove fuse 43 in the central junction box? Also, what is the part number on those lights? Did you try to remove one at a time to see if one turned all park lights off?

Well, I am afraid to check. I switched the headlight switch with another one I had without fog light position, no change. So, I pulled fuse and drove it around to work and such. I went to pull fuse 43 and when I put fuse 17 in no lights turned. Switch all lights worked as they should tried them couple times worked fine. I will alert you know how next couple days go.

Hi,

The numbers will be different. That is normal. And, you are very welcome, but I don't feel like I have been of much help. LOL

Regardless, if you continue trying, let me know what I can do to help.

Take care,

Joe

Yes, you were very helpful. I had no clue where to look and now have some idea what wire should be doing now to start tracing them back if the issue comes back again.

It was melting" There has to be a short where that is happening which is causing the power to the lights. Can you send me a couple of pics?

Got another fuse box in and lights turned off for couple days but was on when I came out the door this morning. Below is a picture of the plug that melted in the back of fuse box. Now my low range light is on, and my overdrive lights flash all the time.

There has to be a constant (high) draw on that at all times. Is there voltage to the wires that were cut (truck side not fuse box side)?
