Hello,

An engine can overheat due to a number of reasons.
It could be due to being low on coolant, a stuck closed thermostat, faulty water pump, bad radiator, inoperative cooling fan or having a restriction in the cooling system that blocks coolant flow.

What are you noticing about the engine overheating? Can you tell if the cooling fans are coming on?

A failed thermostat at the closed position is fairly common cause of engine overheating. Typically, this will make the engine overheat quickly and there will be noticeable temperature difference between the upper and lower radiator hose.

Take a look at this guide, it covers all the typical reasons for engine overheating:

Go through this list and let me know what you find or if you have any questions.

Thank you.
