A year ago the thermostat essembly on the radiator was replaced. The mechanic could not get the air out of the system. I took it to the dealership to have it purged. The cost of $142.00. Went about a mile and it over heated. Shut the engine off then started the engine and the temperature went down to normal. Some time's I can travel fifty to sixty miles with out a problem, then other times just five miles and the temperature starts to rise. I can leave it in the drive way with the AC running for a hour and it will not over heat. The time when it over heats I checked the radiator fan and it is running. What do you think? Tom

Have it pressure checked for an internal link like a head gasket then check coolant level and make sure all air is out of system. Procedures are different for bleeding air form system so can't give you that because no engine size
