Cruise control not working properly

Intermittently acts like cruise control (which is off) is taking over, taking foot off the accelerator has no effect, only way to get engine to idle down is to depress the clutch. Already have cleaned idle control motor and throttle plates, problem still exists. Then actually replaced the idle control motor twice, still have the problem.

This could be a couple things so we need to check for codes just to make sure you have none.

If there are no codes then we need to start with cleaning the throttle bore. I understand you cleaned the IAC but this would only affect the RPM at idle. Once the vehicle is being driven then the throttle body would control this.

Then we need to check the cables for the throttle body and cruise control for binding or sticking.
