Hi, everyone I'm new here and my 95 achieva has been having some leaking isuses. My mechanic said that the water pump itself is fine but it's the housing that is leaking. He does not know the name of the part so that makes it hard for me to go and get it so maybe one of you fine people could assist me in figuring out the name of this part. My mechanic describes it as an aluminum piece that connects the water pump to the timing belt. Thanks for your help!

If you have a 2.3L 4 cylinder ithe metal part oave the water pump is called the water pump cover.
If you have a 3.1L V6 engine, the water pump mounts directly to the front cover of the engine. This front cover is aluminum and covers the timing chain.
Hope this helps.
