When the ignition is first turned on, the fuel pump normally kicks in, pumping fuel. But now, after the car has been parked for a few hours, the fuel pump does not kick in and have to crank the engine for about 30secs or more before it will start.
If the car has been running, then shut it off for a short period of time, it starts right back up with no problem. It seem to be only when the car has been shut off for several hours when the problem occurs.
Is there some sort of a relay or pressure censor that maybe causing this problem?
I've tried tracing the wiring from the fuel tank harness to try and locate some sort of a relay or censor, without any luck.
Thx's
