I hear a rattling sound from the front end when entering a bumpy driveway or uneven pavement. The car was checked by a certified mechanic and apparently it was the bushings in the suspension that needed to be lubed. I was told to wait 24 hrs before I noticed anything. Well it's been 48hrs and the sound is still there. What could it be?

You were right. They replaced both sides and I now have my car back in great shape. Thanks!
