Water pump replacement

Does not really matter where you buy the pump from. There is only the one design for each car. If you have put a new pump on and the car is still overheating, you will need to do more diagnosing to get to the root of the problem.

You need to include the engine size and the history related to this issue. With no other information to go on, it sounds like you were told this by a parts salesman.

Was the water pump replaced recently? If so, did the overheating problem start at the same time, or after that? Why was the water pump replaced? At what speeds does the overheating occur; only at low speeds or when idling? Only at higher speeds? Are you losing coolant? What else has been done to try to solve the problem, and what were the results of those repairs?
