1983 Oldsmobile Cutlass car doesnt want to cut off properly

When I go 2 turn off my car it knocks after you hit the ignition swich!Exspecially when u drive it for a long time when I cut it off it knocks, then it acts like it dont want 2 cut of n starts smokin threw the vents n the hood!It get worse n worse!Recently I drove it 4 a while and when I cut it off it started knockn, then it back fired I need some serious help

That is caused by carbon build up on the pistons getting hot and causing preignition. You can try a better gas, or have the engine decarboned. You may also want to have the timing checked to make sure that isn't a problem.
