Did you try using the fuel pump test connector, to see if pump would run? It should be under the hood, passenger front, close to relay pack. Red wire with electrical connector, nothing plugged into it, if you use a jumper wire with inline fuse from battery voltage to connector, the pump should run, you don't need to use the key. If the pump still won't run, I'd have to check the circuit at the fuel pump connector at the rear of vehicle. Gray wire is voltage for the fuel pump motor, black is ground. I don't know that it is common for the gray wire to break, somewhere? I have also seen the oil pressure fuel cut off switch go bad or the wires come off of it.
