You can do it but it is not the easiest. The problem you are going to have is the pick up tube on this engine hangs really low. Then they do not use a rubber or cork gasket so you have to unbolt the pan, drop it slightly, unbolt the pickup tube drop that in the pan and remove them together.
Then when you are going back in, you have to put the pickup tube in the pan, get them situated up there, then reach into the pan put the pickup in place and bolt it back in. This would be great but you have to put the Permatex silicone on the pan before you put it up there. So there is no way of getting your arm in there to bolt the pick up back in without messing up the silicone.
Some people have left a gap in the silicone for their arm and then filled that in after the pick up is back up there but that is no guarantee.
I have seen other people on YouTube drop the the differential crossmember and track bar down out of the way and that will give lost of space. I have not done this but they claim it gives them all the room they need to remove it.
Do a google search for 22RE oil pan removal and there are a few videos of guys doing both of these "tricks."
I attached the process below from the manual. They have you unbolt the motor and lift it up to give that space.
Run through this and let us know what questions you have. Thanks
